Common Errors in Preeti to Unicode Font Conversion & How to Fix Them
Sometimes when converting text from Preeti to Unicode, you may notice small layout bugs, misplaced vowels, or incorrect joint letters. This guide shows you why this happens.
1. The Half-Letter Vowel Shift
In legacy layouts, the character code for a vowel modifier like "ि" (e.g. key l) is typed *before* the consonant, whereas Unicode expects it *after*. Our algorithm resolves this automatically, but custom layout variants might occasionally require manual correction.
2. Joint Consonants (Halant)
Complex characters created by linking consonants sometimes require a explicit Halant ("्") key representation. If you spot mapping gaps, simply delete and re-type the specific character in the Unicode box.
